About Raritan Partners

Investing in profitable, founder-owned businesses.

We invest in profitable companies within two to three hours of New York City, with an emphasis on New Jersey and nearby markets.

Our firm

Direct buyouts and seller partnerships.

Raritan Partners is named after the river that crosses central New Jersey, where our regional focus begins.

We pursue direct buyouts and partnership transactions. A seller may exit fully, retain equity, continue operating, or complete a staged transition. The structure depends on what the owner wants and what the company needs.

Each acquisition will use a dedicated single-asset vehicle backed by committed equity. Raritan can complete a transaction without making bank debt a condition to close.

Transaction types

Direct buyouts

For owners seeking a full sale and a clear transition to new ownership.

Seller partnerships

For owners who want liquidity while retaining equity, continuing to lead, or transitioning over time.

Value creation

Technology, people, and mission guide the operating plan.

Technology

Build or deploy software, data infrastructure, and automation that reduce manual work, improve decisions, and make service more responsive.

People

Develop managers, recruit where needed, and give teams better tools and information. The people closest to customers should remain close to operating decisions.

Mission

Keep the company's customer promise and role in its market clear as the business grows. We judge new technology and growth initiatives by whether they support that purpose.
